A single papaver, curled in soft resistance, stretches into the fading light.
This piece is part of the Theatre of Flowers collection, photographed at Great Dixter House & Gardens. In this series, flowers take centre stage—each bloom a living character, full of presence, motion, and grace.
Inspired by the garden’s layered planting and wild energy, these images are shaped by close focus, unusual angles, and the ambient effects of light and wind.
Each print includes a QR code linking to a field recording that blends birdsong and garden sounds, offering a deeper sensory connection to the place's spirit.
