This series tells the story of the rare limestone pavements of Cumbria and Lancashire — ancient rock formations carved by glacial waters that host unique plants and microhabitats found nowhere else. Created in collaboration with Professor Carly Stevens and supported by the British Ecological Society and Lancaster University , this work documents a habitat on the brink. Overgrazing, invasive species, ash dieback, and quarrying threaten the ecosystem’s survival. With too much pressure or too little disturbance, biodiversity fades.
